Fundamentalist Christians do much more to keep Jesus dead, irrelevant and impotent than agnostics, humanists, and atheists. They put the boulder in front of the tomb so that we can’t look in.

There is nothing more bourgeois or American than a Marxist university professor denouncing the academic system while his or her very existence helps prop it up.

There is nothing less bohemian than a tenured English professor in a tailored suit with nostalgic feelings for the beat lifestyle.

School safe zones have done a great job at protecting students from free thought and frank discussion.

It is curious how the Catholic priesthood which has so many homosexual members is so vehemently against gay rights.

They are like the Republicans who get serviced by gay prostitutes in the bathroom then vote against marriage equality because they want to retain traditional values or are “profamily.” I am looking at you Lindsey Graham.

Liberals and conservatives are very dedicated to fighting for the free speech of those in compete agreement with them.

If Jesus were alive today, he would not have made it to 33. He would probably be taken out much sooner by the politicians and religious leaders who most often claim to serve him.

The pedophile scandal in the Catholic church has nothing to do with the new morality or lax moral values or the devil: is a natural consequence of the culture of secrecy and people in charge that are more concerned with the continuation of an institution than the safety of their parishioners.

People who believe nothing they read are worse than the ones who believe everything they read, but both are better than those who no longer read (Like Donald Trump and many post millennials.)

How is promising someone 40 virgins for a heroic death worse any than promising heaven for doing good acts or following certain rituals? Neither encourages good behavior for its own sake.
