    Chicago poet and Austin resident Janet Kuypers returned to Hot Springs, AR and was honored with the opportunity to perform her feature show “Fighting for Justice” for Wednesday Night Poetry (at Kollective Coffee+Tea in Hot Springs, AR) Wednesday, June 28^th 2023 (she even dressed the part of Justice for this show).
    CyberWit.net recently published (during women’s history month, March 2023) the Janet Kuypers poetry book “Testa ment”, so in her first poetry appearance in Chicago, her feature contains readings of poems from Part One of this book, all about women’s issues with poetry post-Roe v. Wade overturning in the United States.

Janet was quite animated in her performance of post-Roe v. Wade poems from her “Testa ment” book feature “Fighting for Justice” at Kollective Coffee+Tea for Wednesday Night Poetry in Hot Springs, AR, 2 days after the 1-year anniversary of the overturning... After her show, people in the teens through their 80s came up to her to talk about the effect of these laws — and her poetry.

There was so much poetry to share on the week of the 1-year anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade in my Hot Springs poetry feature “Fighting for Justice” that I may have rushed to get through all the poetry, but I thank Kai Coggin for this wonderful opportunity — and for these photos from my feature. The poems as performed are in the “Fighting for Justice” Scars Publi cations online chapbook, and the full poems — and many more — are in the CyberWit 2023 Janet Kuypers book “Testa ment”, available for sale at Amazon.
